Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to receive this book for an honest review。This is a heartfelt story of Palmer a bank manager and Kent a paramedic。 Kent is a regular customer of Palmers but then he finds out that Palmer has an inoperable tumor。 Kent finds Palmers bucket list or " Before I'm Gone list。 and decides he wants to help her fulfill it。 This is a real tear-jerker so get your tissues ready, your going to need them。 Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to receive this book for an honest review。This is a heartfelt story of Palmer a bank manager and Kent a paramedic。 Kent is a regular customer of Palmers but then he finds out that Palmer has an inoperable tumor。 Kent finds Palmers bucket list or " Before I'm Gone list。 and decides he wants to help her fulfill it。 This is a real tear-jerker so get your tissues ready, your going to need them。 。。。more

Thank you to NetGalley, Montlake and the author for an ARC of Before I'm Gone for an honest review。Before I'm Gone is a nonconventional love story between Kent, a paramedic, and Palmar, a banker。 Kent meets Palmer at the bank and soon becomes the EMT on site when she has a medical emergency。 I was drawn into this book right away, but as it went on I got bored with it。 We know from the start that this love story isn't going to be a typical love story, that it will have a sad ending。 The book talk Thank you to NetGalley, Montlake and the author for an ARC of Before I'm Gone for an honest review。Before I'm Gone is a nonconventional love story between Kent, a paramedic, and Palmar, a banker。 Kent meets Palmer at the bank and soon becomes the EMT on site when she has a medical emergency。 I was drawn into this book right away, but as it went on I got bored with it。 We know from the start that this love story isn't going to be a typical love story, that it will have a sad ending。 The book talks a lot about a bucket list and living your life to the fullest。 However, none of that happened for Palmer until she received some devastating news。 There were parts to this story that I think were added in as a shock factor but then weren't elaborated on。 。。。more

Enjoy and CryThis is a good book but also a tear jerker。 😢 The sad thing is that these kind of things happen for real。 Well written and easy to follow what is happening with the characters in the book。 I cried when the inevitable happened。

This is a very sad story about illness and death。 BUT I was expecting my heart to be ripped out the entire book and I just didn’t feel that emotionally connected to it。 I think that it was because it was told in the 3rd person。 I think it makes it less sad when it says “Palmer knew she was dying” vs “I knew I was dying。” I kind of wish it had been told in alternating 1st person viewpoints instead。Regardless, it was a great story with so much going on。 Romance, travel, illness, death, family, ado This is a very sad story about illness and death。 BUT I was expecting my heart to be ripped out the entire book and I just didn’t feel that emotionally connected to it。 I think that it was because it was told in the 3rd person。 I think it makes it less sad when it says “Palmer knew she was dying” vs “I knew I was dying。” I kind of wish it had been told in alternating 1st person viewpoints instead。Regardless, it was a great story with so much going on。 Romance, travel, illness, death, family, adoption, kidnapping, unplanned pregnancy, etc… the list goes on。 It was a great story。The last 50 pages were very sad and may be hard to read if you have had a family member or spouse die。 Kent also was like the dream man of all dream men。 He did not have to do any of the things he did for Palmer。 He truly was like a guardian angel。 。。。more

There are those rare times when a book comes along and shakes you to your core, forcing you to re-evaluate life, loss, grief and moving forward。 For me, this is one。 Plenty of gut-punches and emotionally filled narratives that capture the raw emotions felt between these characters。 It’s very difficult not to shed more than a few tears for both Palmer and Kent。 On the other hand, there’s a peacefulness that comes from the joy and appreciation for those shared moments filled with a deep and undyin There are those rare times when a book comes along and shakes you to your core, forcing you to re-evaluate life, loss, grief and moving forward。 For me, this is one。 Plenty of gut-punches and emotionally filled narratives that capture the raw emotions felt between these characters。 It’s very difficult not to shed more than a few tears for both Palmer and Kent。 On the other hand, there’s a peacefulness that comes from the joy and appreciation for those shared moments filled with a deep and undying love between them。 A story that doesn’t hide the fact that it won’t end as we would hope。 Even so, the relationship between this wonderful couple was beautiful and one to be remembered long after the final words are read。 I don’t regret one second of the time spent reading this well-presented book。 。。。more

Well that was an emotional ride and a half!! This was such a beautiful story full of loneliness, soul searching, love and loss and yet so much more。 There were tears that you knew were coming but still heart wrenching。 This makes you stop and look at your life, has you realise that you have so much more than you think and will make you appreciate and be grateful and enjoy life。

Absolutely beautiful book!I loved this book, from beginning to end。 It's one of those where despite the reader knowing what the inevitable end will be, you keep rooting for the characters and hoping against hope for a surprise ending。 Keep the tissues handy, you will need them as you travel along with Palmer and Kent as they fulfill their bucket list。Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own。 Absolutely beautiful book!I loved this book, from beginning to end。 It's one of those where despite the reader knowing what the inevitable end will be, you keep rooting for the characters and hoping against hope for a surprise ending。 Keep the tissues handy, you will need them as you travel along with Palmer and Kent as they fulfill their bucket list。Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own。 。。。more

There are books that we read and leave their imprint on our hearts and Before I’m Gone is one of those。 I’m going to keep my review fairly short because it’s a story that needs to be experienced。Palmer is a 30 something bank manager who appears to have her life together。 Kent is a paramedic who thinks things are going in the right direction。 They know each other casually through her work until fate brings them together。 The story that follows is well written and emotional。 I was pulled in and ap There are books that we read and leave their imprint on our hearts and Before I’m Gone is one of those。 I’m going to keep my review fairly short because it’s a story that needs to be experienced。Palmer is a 30 something bank manager who appears to have her life together。 Kent is a paramedic who thinks things are going in the right direction。 They know each other casually through her work until fate brings them together。 The story that follows is well written and emotional。 I was pulled in and appreciated the journey they went on and the lessons shared with us along the way。 Before I’m Gone definitely goes on my list of 5 star reads for the year and I’m not sure I will not be the same after reading。 。。。more

There would have been a point in time where I would have wolfed down angsty books like they were candy and overlooked unwelcoming writing and flat characters for the sake of the *feel* but that's not what I'm looking for in books any longer so I'll tell you straight out: this book wasn't for me and I appreciate that it is a "your-mileage-may-vary" situation。Many thanks to the author for a copy in exchange for an honest review。 There would have been a point in time where I would have wolfed down angsty books like they were candy and overlooked unwelcoming writing and flat characters for the sake of the *feel* but that's not what I'm looking for in books any longer so I'll tell you straight out: this book wasn't for me and I appreciate that it is a "your-mileage-may-vary" situation。Many thanks to the author for a copy in exchange for an honest review。 。。。more
